Thinking about investing in a portable roof panel machine? Here’s a breakdown of the key features and benefits of the SSQ II MultiPro from New Tech Machinery. This is Brendon from New Tech Machinery. Today, we’re looking at the SSQ II MultiPro roof and wall panel machine, NTM’s most versatile and feature-rich portable roll former. Let’s walk through its key features and the benefits they bring to your shop or job site.

First up, the key features and optional accessories of the SSQ II. The UNIQ control system is New Tech Machinery’s most advanced and safest controller to date designed to improve automation, safety, and the user experience for portable roll forming. It’s available as an additional accessory on the SSQ II MultiPro, but comes standard on NTM’s industrial WAV Wall Panel Machine. The UNIQ system makes your job faster and even more efficient, while allowing you to maintain quality across multiple projects. It gives you flexibility to change panel lengths on the fly and helps reduce waste of material so you’re not spending extra money on unused coil.

Next up, the Quick-Change Power Pack. The Quick-Change Power Pack, or QCPP, lets you switch between gas and electric power in the field fast. It’s available on our SSH and SSQ II MultiPro. No need for extra generators or gas cans. And if one source of power goes down, you can switch and keep working. It also adds resale value and gives you flexibility in almost any environment. Onto the Proximity Sensor.

The Proximity Sensor detects metal near the shear end of the machine. When material gets within about two inches, the sensor alerts the controller. This safety feature prevents new panels from running out before the previous one is removed, helping avoid panel damage and improving workflow.

Next, the Angle Slitter. The Angle Slitter cuts panels up to 24 inches wide at angles from 90 degrees to 35 degrees. It attaches to the machine’s exit end and allows for quick accurate cuts in the field, saving time and eliminating the need for extra tools.

Next, Hot Melt Sealant Interface. The Hot Melt Sealant Interface connects to a sealant pump system and applies mastic into the panel legs as they exit the machine. This helps create airtight or watertight seals when panels are seamed or snap-locked, saving time and boosting efficiency.

Finally, Notching. The Notching system punches clean notches before the legs are formed. It supports both rectangular and profile notches, is computer controlled, and reduces time, labor, and material waste on the job site.

Now let’s discuss the benefits of using an SSQ II. First, profile variety. One of the biggest benefits of the SSQ II MultiPro is that it offers the most profile options of any NTM portable roof panel machine. 16 different roof and wall panels are available. Each sold separately. Profile options include standing seam as well as specialty profiles available only on this machine like the one inch FWQ100 and the 1-1/2 inch FWQ150, flush wall and soffit profile, with optional perforations for vented soffit or under deck use. The BBQ750, a board and batten wall siding profile. The SSQ275, a proprietary two inch panel that can be snap-locked or mechanically seamed. And the TRQ250, 2-1/2 inch mechanical seam trapezoid panel designed for structural low slope commercial applications. Also, the SSQ II MultiPro is the fastest of NTM’s roof panel machines. It can run panels at up to 75 feet per minute on gas power and about 65 feet per minute on electric power. Other NTM machines range from 30 to 60 feet per minute. So the SSQ II definitely gives you the speed to complete more jobs quickly and efficiently.

Next up, industry best warranties. The SSQ II MultiPro is backed by the best warranty in the industry. It comes with a limited three years on parts and labor, including electrical components. NTM’s warranty covers the machine, its accessories, tooling, all the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components that are manufactured by NTM. It also includes a limited lifetime warranty against the separation of drive rollers.

Finally, portable and in-plant use. One of the biggest advantages of the SSQ II is that it’s easily transportable to the job site. You can use an NTM trailer designed to your machine specs or your own trailer, box van, or enclosed trailer. This gives you full control over panel production right at the job location. Or if you keep the machine in-plant, it takes up minimal space and can be moved easily and allows profile changeovers in about 45 minutes.

So what’s the takeaway? The SSQ II MultiPro Roof and Wall Panel Machine is NTM’s most versatile and feature-packed machine. It’s designed to help you boost productivity while also grow your business with a wide range of panel options. If you’re wondering is the SSQ II right for you, ask yourself some of the following questions. How many profiles do I want to offer? Do I mainly work on residential or commercial jobs? Do I wanna offer siding like board and batten or maybe flush wall? How much production do I need for my sheet? The SSQ II machine was designed and built to provide metal roofing contractors with the most efficient machine possible to enhance their business. The SSQ II is a colossus when it comes to production, automation, and profile variety.
